JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with all Federal, State, Local Laws and OSHA Regulations.
  • Operate system properly to avoid damage to system and horses.
  • Ability to solve irrigation problems.
  • Complete all tasks independently, without direct supervision.
  • Responsible to assist in operation, maintenance, or repair of turf track based upon business needs.
  • Responsible for all duties associated with snow removal.
  • Waters greens, tees, fairways, and rough.
  • Operates irrigation heads or roller bases in dry areas needing additional water.
  • Repairs and maintains the irrigation system, pipes, and heads as needed.
  • Complete requests for irrigation parts, course parts, and supplies.
  • Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and/ or, plug and/ or, seed (greens, tees, and fairways).
  • Operates dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
  • Occasionally supervises a small labor force for special projects, and performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Two (2) years experience operating irrigation system.
  • Experience with plumbing (metal and plastic)
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of drainage control methods and of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers.
  • Working knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in equipment operator and grounds person duties.
  • Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and execute written, verbal and/or demonstrated directions, explanations, and guidance
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
  • Must be able to lift Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work in extremes of weather, on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding
  • Must be able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business including evenings, weekends and holidays.
