Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. College Degree Preferred.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, open communication and trust.

  • Strives to improve and streamline departmental operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and   procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value. 
  • Develops department training programs with an emphasis on customer service and supervisory leadership.
  • Allocates resources to create value for our guests and employees; endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Delaware Park, LLC.
  • Ensures balance of customer service and profitability is achieved through utilization of labor standards. 
  • Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained.
  • Ensures that employee evaluations are accurate, timely and detailed.
  • Ensures adherence to department, company, contract policies and procedures and compliance with Delaware Lottery  Rules and Regulations and other regulations as required. 
  • Assists in the formulation of the Slot Departments’ business plan, operating budget and capital plan.
  • Maintains and enforces physical safeguards over all monies, forms, and records relating to the Slot Operations function.
  • Develops a strong working relationship with all department managers and supervisors to ensure unity and a consistent direction.
  • Responsible for accuracy of daily time sheets, jackpot payouts and daily shift summary.
  • Responsible for understanding all available slot floor system reports, game information and knowledge of the player   tracking system to investigate and resolve guest and employee complaints.
  • Attends guest and employee functions; builds a rapport with premium level players, handles any customer concerns that cannot be resolved by subordinate employees.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years supervisory experience required. 
  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Lottery.
  • Understand all internal controls for the department; knowing all gaming regulations and steps taken to ensure compliance.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems required.
  • Act with discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays. 
  • Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/or execute written, verbal and/or demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
  • Experience and/or exposure to long-term planning and proposals to senior management a plus.
  • Prior experience in the management of a large staff.
  • Must possess strong leadership, interpersonal, customer relations and communications skills.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, or push up to fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
