Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Calc Room coverage as necessary.
  • Assigns Team Members daily work locations.  
  • Assists supervision in all phases of Mutuel Operations.  
  • Supervises, evaluates and assists in training of all tellers.  
  • Recommends coaching, documents communications as needed, and issues discipline as directed.
  • Assists guests with IRS reportable winnings, for both Horse Racing, Sports Betting, CTR, MLT, and SARC.
  • Enforces all Delaware Park Policy and Procedures.  
  • Fully compliant with Title 26 and Title 31 Currency Transactions reporting and required regulatory compliance.
  • Enforces procedures to ensure all company assets are secure.
  • Enforces procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate with vendors, including but not limited to Sports Book, Sci Games, etc.
  •  Sweeps of self-serve wagering machines, ticket jams, paper checks, etc.
  • Retrieve cash from self-serve wagering machines.
  • Ensure collaborative relationships with other departments to ensure optimal service levels.
  • Responsible for daily communications with team; FYI, shift meetings, etc.
  • Fully assist in the operation of the Patron Services Department, including but not limited to program sales, staffing, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and currency settlement. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  •     Promotes outstanding customer relations.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • One (1) to Three (3) years experience as a Mutuel Teller.
  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain the background check and licensing process, required by the       Delaware Lottery during employment.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, and/or stand for an eight (8) hour shift without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business including evenings, weekends and holidays.
