JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and  execution of service excellence is paramount.
  • Welcomes guests to golf course.
  • Assures guest tee off on time.
  • Assists guest playing alone to find a group to pair up with.
  • Informs guests of course characteristics – terraced fairways, pot bunkers, GPS system, hospitality cart on  course, player assistant on course; offers to make guest extra reservations for more golf, or other activities
  • Keeps the bag room and the golf shop informed as to the status of the first tee.
  • Keeps accurate records of play and files properly at the end of shift. (tee off times, guest names, cart numbers and GPS sheet)
  • Collects POS tickets.
  • Assures that GPS is operating correctly prior to the days start and notifies Director of Golf or Head Professional of any changes; assures pin positions are correct during the course of the day with the help of the ranger.
  • Communicates to all players on the pace of play status
  • Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
  • Reports trespassers or any unusual situations on the course to the Director of Golf or Head Professional immediately.
  • Keeps tee area clean at all times.
  • Use radios and earpieces to effectively communicate with other golf operation areas.
  • Use guest surname twice during their round.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations
  • Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • No prior experience required. 
  • Valid driver’s license required and miminum two (2) years driving record with no points.
  • Must be able to lift and carry Twenty-five (25) – Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
  • Knowledge of golf and etiquette preferred.
  • Must be able to run & stand for at least a full eight (8)-hour shift, without difficulty.
  • Must be able to wear and appear comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park.
  • Must be able to work in all weather elements including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management is mandatory.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to handle all types of guest related situations; relay all guest compliments and complaints to department management.
